New Website Launched

A New Dawn...

A New Dawn...

A new dawn has come and I have finally got around to getting my website back up and running. Thank you for your patience. I am now settled down in Abu Dhabi and starting to find some digital marketing jobs.

The focus of this blog will be for small business owners who don't know a whole lot about social media and digital marketing. I hope to bring some insight and some laughter throughout each week.

If you ever have questions or don't understand something in the digital marketing world, just contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Enjoy,

David Doughty

Moving Global and so is E-Commerce

I must apologize for my lack of posts lately. I have been in the process of moving countries and finishing my Master’s Degree. Today my wife and I have finally started to get things settled and I can finally come back to this and focus.

In light of a global focus I’d like to share this inforgraphic of how fast e-commerce is growing world wide.

If you haven’t heard recently, online retail giant Alibaba out of china, raised $21.8 billion in its debut, making it the biggest U.S.-listed IPO in history after the IPO of credit card processing company Visa in 2008.

This graphic shows the perspective of how fast it is growing versus everything else in the world. But that doesn’t mean the rest of the world isn’t growing quickly because it is. In the United States, e-commerce is growing at 4X the rate of retail.

If you aren’t convinced yet that you need your business online. Maybe you should think again.
